Northern Transitions, Inc. is a private, non-profit, Michigan corporation that provides a wide range of vocational rehabilitation services for individuals, with a variety of barriers to employment, who reside in the Eastern Upper Peninsula. Services include evaluation, supported employment , community placement, and numerous types of employment opportunities within the organization, for individuals who require a high level of continued employment support.

Rehab Services
Individuals who choose our rehabilitation services may work in confidential shredding, recycling, janitorial, custodial or grounds services, or on their own microenterprise activities.

Recycling
We recycle CLEAN:
• plastics - # 1-7, but NO Styrofoam; • metals- steel, copper, iron, aluminum, like pop and tin cans; • glass jars and bottles; • paper and magazines; • corrugated cardboard and box board - such as brown, grey, and white fiber board.
Please check our list of acceptable items prior to dropping off your recycling.
We do NOT accept any Styrofoam plastic.
Janitorial/ Grounds Services
Individuals in janitorial, or grounds, services work in a variety of locations throughout our community.
