COMMUNITY EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
These services help you find, get and keep a job in the community. We will give you the help you need before
you're hired and on-the-job. We will help the employer understand your special needs. We will also help you understand what
the employer expects of you and how to meet their needs. If the job changes we'll come back.
JOB EXPLORATION
The best way to decide if you like something or not is to try it. Job exploration provides brief volunteer
trials, with job coach support. It also helps us get to know each other better so we can work together to find you the right
job.
JOB DEVELOPMENT
Experienced staff help you find the right job based on your likes and dislikes. We can work with employers
to carve out an exact fit.
SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT
Some people need training or help on-the-job for a long time. Learning the job is hard for some and getting
along with others at work is hard for others. Our coaches can help you with whatever you need. They fade out gradually, letting
you take over when you can.
JOB PLACEMENT
People who only need help in finding and beginning a job are served by job placement. We can help you decide
what job to go after and how to present yourself as well as some coaching to get started.
FOLLOW ALONG
People who have been placed in community positions often require long-term occasional assistance to maintain
their job or deal with work related problems that might arise. Follow along services provide this assistance.

before, during or after any other community employment service. for more

work, we may be able to help you do that through the Ticket-to-Work program. The Social Security Administration will pay for
your services if you qualify. For more information please call the Rehabilitation Director at (906) 635-5681 or e-mail him

VOCATIONAL EVALUATION
Vocational evaluation looks at your interests and skills as they can be used at work. You will spend anywhere
from three half-days to two weeks in discussion and testing. The evaluator will write a report and explain it to you and to
anyone else you want. This information can make finding and getting a job much easier.
TRANSITION SERVICES
Our Transition Coordinator travels to all EUP area junior and senior high schools meeting with students receiving
